Running with Sole is a not for profit organization that will provide a stepping stone for all walks of life, regardless of race, religion, gender, and social class. with a simple goal of “Helping others put their best foot forward one shoe at a time.” We do this by collecting gently worn and new shoes, we collect shoes of all styles, colors, and sizes and no shoe will be left behind. After collection of the shoes, we sort, clean, and redistribute the shoes to those souls in need.
For every day that you wake up and walk out of your house, there is someone whose heart aches for the chance to do the same. For every time that you lace your sneakers, there is a child scrubbing their dirty, swollen feet. We don’t realize how little it takes to significantly improve the life of someone that is suffering.
Before you even lay your head to sleep tonight, you will have found a way to help one of the over 300 million people currently suffering from a painful, humiliating illness. You will restore dignity and empower people to walk their way to a better life.
The cure is simple…”Have a heart…share a soul.” We collect shoes from the closets, garages, and basements from people like you. At a first glance, you might find that there is nothing of use but if you look closer, you’ll notice that, like most people, you have many shoes in that you don’t actually wear. Instead of letting them collect dust or tossing them out, Nada Sater set forth on creating Running with Sole and has come up with an easy way to clean the clutter and facilitates the donation of shoes to aid the shoeless worldwide.
We also collect shoes from retailers, shoe companies, individuals, our and your shoe drives, our drop off locations, corporations and other businesses, schools and universities, local and national runs and walks, places of worship, community centers, police and fire stations, and communities. We can’t do it without you! Donating parties are eligible for tax advantages.
Step by step, we begin to realize that in order to truly help these citizens of the world, we need to provide the shoeless with an overlooked essential—a pair of shoes. After receiving a photograph of a little girl proudly skipping in a pair of Nada’s donated shoes, Nada set forth on creating Running With Sole—a non-profit charity that will provide a stepping stone for all walks of life, regardless of race, religion, gender, and social class.
